Overnight Oats
This recipe is a perfect base for your overnight oats! Experiment with different add-ins and flavors to find your favorite!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup steel cut or rolled Oats
1/2 cup milk (or your milk of choice like almond, etc)
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 tbsp flax seeds
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp sweetener (sugar, monkfruit sweetener, honey, maple syrup, etc)
DIRECTIONS
Combine all ingredients to a jar with a tight fitting lid and shake well.
Place in the fridge overnight or up to 3 days.
Shake or stir the mixture before eating.
Adjust these ingredients and amounts depending on your own personal tastes until you find your own perfect overnight oats!
ADD INS AND TOPPINGS
When mixing your oats play with add ins like peanut butter, banana, blueberries, protein powder, vanilla extract, yogurt, cinnamon, shredded coconut, chocolate chips, raisins etc. The possibilities are endless!
You can also top your oats just before eating with berries, granola, nuts, cinnamon, dried fruit, baked apples etc.

NOTES
You can use rolled oats or steel cut for this recipe. Rolled oats will provide a softer texture.
When adding in softer fruits such as banana you may find that it only lasts 2 days instead of 3. Trial and error with this recipe if your best friend!
